I am a PhD candidate at the Computer Science Department at Indiana University. Previously, I received my MS degree (GPA 3.89/4.00) in Computer Science from Indiana University, USA in 2017 and Bachelors degree (First Class Hons, GPA 3.83/4.20) from University of Moratuwa, SriLanka in 2010. My Advisor is prof. Andrew Lumsdaine. My primary research interests lie in the areas of Computer Systems/Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, High Performance Computing and Parallel/Concurrent Algorithms. My current research interests revolve around optimizing group communication primitives for HPC to gain a better performance output and, developing specialized runtimes and operating systems that may counter the undesired effects of irregularity in this context.
