I am currently a PhD student in School of Informatics and Computing in Indiana University Bloomington. I am in Music Informatics group under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Raphel. I received my bachelar's degree from Department of Automation from Tsinghua University in 2010, supervised by Prof. Jie Zhou.

My current research interest is Optical Music Recognition(OMR), which is to recognize music symbols from a scanned score image and automatically convert them into machine-readable data type such as MIDI or MusicXML. Therefore we will be able to search, edit and analysis scores. It's a very interesting and inter-disciplinary field that involves music theory, Computer Vision, Artifitial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Human Computer Interaction.
